this Christmas season we are so very thankful...

We are thankful for this little person.

We are thankful for Bethany and Clint. You are our angels and are forever in our prayers and in the deepest parts of our hearts.

We are thankful for all of the extended family out there that brought her into our arms. Even though we may not know you very well, we love you for your part in creating our family. We hope that you are able to give thanks that Cabrini is in a family that loves her so completely.

Then we spent a little more time playing with the pumpkins, because they were just so fun. :)

Trick or Treat!

Cabrini's first Halloween! She had quite a few costumes to choose from (those pictures will get posted soon). The penguin won by virtue of being the warmest of the bunch. Granted, penguins are pretty cute animals, but this cute? I don't think I've seen one cuter!

First she got costumed. She looks totally thrilled, right?

Then had some photos taken with cousins Olivia and Rowan.

Olivia LOVES Cabrini and is the best cousin!

She even tried to protect Cabrini's eyes from all of the camera flashes. So thoughtful.

Next it was out to trick-or-treat. We didn't start out with a candy bucket, we were just going along with O and Ro...one of the super-nice neighbors gave it to us!

Cabrini received a sweet Halloween card from her grandma and grandpa in South Dakota. Cabrini found that it was not only interesting but tasty as well.

I think we've got some video of this funny face that Cabrini loves to make. Still shots just don't do it justice.

She wrinkles up her nose and sniffs really loudly...sometimes with a smile (like below) and sometimes with her lips all puckered. Either way it's ridiculously cute. :)

Not only is Cabrini the cutest little helper...she makes this look really fun!

How fast two months have gone!

It's hard to believe it's been over two months since our last post. Cabrini is growing into a perfect little girl (we had no doubts, of course). Her hair is slowly coming in, and we think her eyes may be starting to turn from blue to green. She's still not too keen on solids, but LOVES to suck on apple slices. All of her teething has finally produced her first tooth (it's her front lower left and is still coming in). And she is on the precipice of crawling.

All-in-all, we had a busy end to our summer. Lots of trips and lots of firsts! Below are some snaps (somewhat in chronological order) that show some of the goings-on (and some are just super-cute pictures).

We had lots of play time.

Bath time is still one of our favorite times!

We spent time outside when the weather was nice.

We had grandmas and grandpas come for visits.

And we visited grandmas, grandpas and great-grandmas and met uncles, aunts and cousins! Our first plane ride all the way up to Alaska!

Grandma and grandpa had great places to lounge around.

We went camping for the first time too!!

This month we went on our very first ferry ride!

It was a little exhausting.

But we had a good time!

And that brings us to today!
