Cabrini at 11 months

Cabrini is definitely coming into her own at 11 months. She's crawling everywhere, and has started pulling herself to a standing position daily. It's clear she's going to take to walking relatively quickly. She loves to open drawers and listen to the Winnie The Pooh theme song (even more so if mommy and daddy sing along). Her most common activity is laughing, even if it's just a courtesy laugh to appease her parents. Sleeping through the night has become much more common, to the delight of mommy and daddy. Her hair is starting to turn somewhat auburn, especially when light hits it. And it gets a bit longer each day. She loves baths and isn't at all afraid by the water, even when daddy dumps water over her face by accident. We think she's going to be a natural swimmer.

She has 3 1/2 teeth so far and loves to munch on bananas and peaches.

this Christmas season we are so very thankful...

We are thankful for this little person.

We are thankful for Bethany and Clint. You are our angels and are forever in our prayers and in the deepest parts of our hearts.

We are thankful for all of the extended family out there that brought her into our arms. Even though we may not know you very well, we love you for your part in creating our family. We hope that you are able to give thanks that Cabrini is in a family that loves her so completely.

Then we spent a little more time playing with the pumpkins, because they were just so fun. :)

Trick or Treat!

Cabrini's first Halloween! She had quite a few costumes to choose from (those pictures will get posted soon). The penguin won by virtue of being the warmest of the bunch. Granted, penguins are pretty cute animals, but this cute? I don't think I've seen one cuter!

First she got costumed. She looks totally thrilled, right?

Then had some photos taken with cousins Olivia and Rowan.

She even tried to protect Cabrini's eyes from all of the camera flashes. So thoughtful.

Next it was out to trick-or-treat. We didn't start out with a candy bucket, we were just going along with O and Ro...one of the super-nice neighbors gave it to us!

Halloween card

Cabrini received a sweet Halloween card from her grandma and grandpa in South Dakota. Cabrini found that it was not only interesting but tasty as well.

She wrinkles up her nose and sniffs really loudly...sometimes with a smile (like below) and sometimes with her lips all puckered. Either way it's ridiculously cute. :)
